Sr. Field Marketing & Events Manager (HQ)

We are looking for a Senior Field Marketing & Events Manager to join our team, you should be someone with great flexibility, creative problem solving and the ability to independently manage multiple priority projects and collaborate with multiple departments (sales, engineering, finance and leadership – pretty much all of them). You’re passionate about marketing and events and no task is beneath you.

In this position, you will prioritize, plan, budget, evangelize and execute corporate and partner marketing activities and events, work with sales and marketing teams to target high-value prospects via specific marketing activities and help further develop channel and alliance partnerships.

The role will develop into the primary marketing point of contact who directly engages and collaborates with our partners to understand our joint customer priorities. You will translate go-to-market strategies and identified opportunities into actionable and measurable programs, ensure campaigns are executed on-time, accurately and successfully. Your support and expertise will enable Groupware to reach new customers through marketing initiatives, localized marketing and/or events and driving activities that drive traffic and brand excitement.

Essential Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Co-development and execution of overall corporate marketing plan
  • Co-development and execution of all partners joint marketing plans and demand generation activities designed to build pipeline and close business.
  • Co-Manage process of MDF, HC, Growth Incentive funds, etc. from overseeing the collections of funds and supplying of all required documentation
  • From conception, plan, produce to execution on all events (internal and external from 5 to 300 people)
  • Proactively collaborate directly within the marketing team to obtain materials and items needed for upcoming campaigns and events
  • Support, develop and execute on all non-digital demand gen programs, some of these are (but not limited to):
    • ABM
    • EDO’s
    • Bag Drops
    • Sales Enablement
    • Call Blitz, Dial Out Days
    • In Person Events
    • Virtual Events
  • Collaborate with Digital Manager to set up all event assets within the marketing automation platform (Marketo) including but not limited to emails, landing pages, forms, etc
  • Swag, we will depend on you to own the budget, research, recommendations and purchase of all our swag items, also including the fulfillment requests and inventory
  • Manage all aspects of event coordination including: strategy, objectives materials creation, event messaging/marketing, signage, giveaways, contract negotiation, vendor relations, site selection, registration, agenda scheduling, staffing, on-site production and F&B, & logistics
  • Manage account-based marketing activities, including: identifying target accounts, developing strategy, executing campaigns with the support of cross-functional teams
  • Conduct post-event/campaign evaluations and ROI analysis; report and share results and recommendations with sales and marketing teams.

Essential Core Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Marketing or Communications preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in events, field marketing or demand generation roles with demonstrated experience in integrated marketing, project management, events, campaign analysis and related activities aimed at delivering successful programs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an attention to detail
  • Working proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel is a must)
  • Passion and enthusiasm for events and people with a people person personality
  • Ability to assess situations and recommend streamlined processes
  • Manage time effectively with ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a very dynamic environment
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively with a variety of projects and business partners (both internal and external partners); must be able to work cross-functionally with internal sales, engineering and operations teams to effectively generate, execute and report on marketing programs and the overall success of the company’s goals
  • Some travel will be required – must be able to work outside of regular business hours and weekends as you will be responsible for registration at all events
  • Smart, conceptual, confident, competent, adaptable, proactive, results-oriented and ego-free. You welcome candid feedback and can constructively give it as well
  • You must bring a passion for marketing, a sense of humor, be creative, deadline driven and dedicated to your craft
