Stacy Thompson of Groupware Technology Named to Silicon Valley Business Journal’s 2018 Women of Influence List

Campbell, CA (March 28, 2018) –  Groupware Technology, Inc., a leading IT solutions provider, today announced that Senior Director of Finance Stacy Thompson has been recognized by the Silicon Valley Business Journal as one the most influential women of the Silicon Valley in 2018. The Women of Influence distinction honors female executives who have made an impact with a proven track record of work success and a commitment to mentoring and giving back to their communities.

Stacy’s financial leadership has played a significant role in Groupware’s tremendous growth from $2 million of sales in IT solutions and services in 2005 when she joined the company, to over $275 million in its most recent fiscal year in 2017. She has been critical to Groupware’s ability to maintain profitability while also financing strategic investments and established innovative ways to manage cash flow, lines of credit and control costs while establishing metrics for better managing the company’s fast growth.

Stacy’s dedication to spearheading Groupware’s charitable giving has been impactful to several organizations. As a lead at the Family Giving Tree, she oversees the participation of Groupware in the Family Giving Tree’s annual Holiday Wish Drive. She has also been a volunteer for the Second Harvest Food Bank for six years and spearheaded Groupware Technology’s recent holiday food drive that raised 7,063 pounds of food to feed the underprivileged.

As a big advocate for mentoring, Stacy is currently planning the launch of a company-wide mentoring program which will provide high impact results for emerging leaders to learn and be mentored by an established figure in their field.

“It is a tremendous honor to be recognized by the Silicon Valley Business Journal and be included in such an exclusive group of successful and inspirational women,” noted Stacy. “I am excited about the opportunities for all of us to continue to make an impact in our industries and communities and in advancing leadership roles for women in the Valley.”

“From the inception of the company, Stacy has been an invaluable asset to us,” stated Mike Thompson, CEO of Groupware Technology. “Her financial acumen, leadership and instincts have enabled Groupware to navigate through a rapid growth period as well as achieve strategic goals. Additionally, her commitment to giving back to the community along with her mentoring initiatives make Stacy a well-deserving Women of Influence honoree.”
